Made in Britain...naturally
We design, test and make our own products at our eco-headquarters and physic garden in Gillingham, Dorset.
It's home to our team of experts in natural health and beauty who create our award winning products. In our state of the art labs, we develop herbal remedies and skin and body care products that use the nourishing properties of the purest natural ingredients.
We’ve sourced organic ingredients since our beginning in 1981 and were the first company in the UK to sell certified organic essential oils, now, 26 years later, we are proud to offer the UK’s largest range of organic health & beauty care.
We’re passionate about sharing knowledge and our goal is to transform peoples lives by inspiring, educating and empowering them to live by the principles of natural health. We practise what we preach with three quarters of those who work in our shops being trained in natural medicine.
Our new green jars
From June this year we’re launching our brand new British made jars - fired from Scottish sand, Yorkshire limestone and soda ash from Cheshire. In line with our CarbonNeutral® status we’re trying to find more ways to do business that bit greener, and reducing our packaging mileage is a great step forward to reducing our footprint. Of course the new jars are still 100% recyclable, we’ll even give you 10p for each bottle or jar you bring back to us in-store.
We’ve also decided to be more energy-efficient in our production process by keeping to one size of packaging for our facial skincare, and by using a modest 50g size we can continue to develop creams and balms with an ever greater level of wild and organic ingredients and the minimum amount of preservatives - and keep them fresh and vital all the way to the bottom of the jar.
So not only can you be confident that our skincare is as wild and organic as possible, now it’s that little bit greener too.
